Tracing harrasing phone number

Tips for Tracing Harassing Phone NumbersHave you ever wondered if there is a way that you can track harassing calls so that you can figure out who is calling you? Often times harassing calls come from blocked, private numbers, or just numbers that you have never seen before. Phone companies can track these number if they want to however most of them wait until you have registered a complaint with the police, which most people don’t do for just a little prank or one unwanted call. The reason it can be so difficult to track a phone number is because there is a legal act that protects the identity of a person and only a police officer given enough reason can look into getting that number for you following that act.

You can dial *69 after a harassing call and it will call the person back but will not really tell you anything about that person. Although if its a prank or someone you know then you don’t really have to pursue any further if you do not want to. If the *69 does not give you the answers you want you can call your service provider and have them activate cell trace on your phone and then dial *57 which will start a legal process of you working with the phone company and the police to find out who has been calling you. It is a long and difficult process but you will be able to figure out the person who has been calling you and harassing you lately. It starts with you contacting your service provider to track the number after you calling the *57, and then them taking that phone number to the police for you.

You would think that would be the final step to this process but no you still have to wait a couple days and contact the police requesting the details of the calls that have been getting placed to you. If you want to trace the call for free you can use a service called trap cell. Trap cell is a service provider that will unmask the number and then forward it to your cell. If you can get the results you want for free then that service is free, they do offer to look into other numbers a situations if they can’t get the number which would only cost you a tiny fee but most of their work is free.
